Webinars
From project management to automated storage systems: The German Biobank Network (GBN) regularly offers webinars on a wide range of biobanking-related topics. These usually involve numerous representatives of GBN biobanks, who give expert presentations on specific aspects. Some events also feature external speakers. The webinars and their recordings are available to GBN biobank employees on the OpenILIAS platform.
Attendance records and certificates
Certificates of attendance can be obtained after participating in a live webinar or after watching a webinar recording on OpenILIAS. For selected webinars, there is also the option of answering questions about the content and then receiving a certificate for successful participation in the webinar and passing the learning test. This is possible after a live webinar as well as after a recording.
Standard-compliant training certificates
Biobank employees have the option of using the certificates of participation and certificates obtained as proof of training in accordance with the requirements of DIN EN ISO 20387:2020 ("Biotechnology - Biobanking - General requirements for biobanking"). OpenILIAS users can conveniently download the documents as PDF files. In addition, it is possible to view all acquired certificates in a separate area on OpenILIAS.
Registration on OpenILIAS
To use OpenILIAS, interested parties from the GBN create their own accounts. Click on the "Register new user account" tab in the footer on the start page. On the following page, you can create an account by entering your e-mail address and a user:in name of your choice. To complete the registration, you must then send the selected name by email to germanbiobanknetwork@charite.de.
