GBN offers various tools to support biobanks in establishing a quality management system. The QM manual with biobank-specific procedural instructions and forms as well as the satisfaction survey for users are freely available to all interested parties. GBN partners can also use a shared QM software.

Satisfaction survey for users

How satisfied are biobank users? Feedback from users helps biobanks to continuously improve their processes. GBN has developed a catalogue of questions that biobanks can use to collect this feedback. You can find the sample survey for biobanks under this link. You can request a detailed overview of the range of questions to create a customised survey by email. The user satisfaction survey fulfils the requirements of the DIN EN ISO 9001 and DIN EN ISO 20387 standards.

QM software

In order to further strengthen internal harmonisation, GBN has established standardised software for the biobanks' QM work. The software package offers modules for document and process management as well as for the organisation and implementation of audits and action management. It allows all participating sites to work together on documents.

QM manual

The QM manual has been available open access on the Zenodo platform since 2018, with an English version available since 2020. It contains biobank-specific procedural instructions and forms in accordance with DIN EN ISO 20387. Further information on the QM manual can be found here.
