NUM4Rare builds on established NUM infrastructures such as DIZ, NUKLEUS and NUM-MB. The infrastructure is being tested in specific medical use cases, including in the context of newborn screening and the patient-centred collection of PROMs. NUM4Rare thus combines the development of a sustainable, interoperable database with clear use cases and creates the conditions for an improved evidence base for the research and care of people with rare diseases.
