With a target sample size of around 12,000 data records, this study represents one of the most comprehensive investigations in this field to date. The aim is to demonstrate the effectiveness of AI applications in improving diagnostic accuracy and optimising prognostic assessments.
This large-scale, multicentre analysis fills a key research gap in the field of acute visceral medicine and has the potential to bring about lasting change in standards of care by enabling efficient and individualised risk stratification. Furthermore, the dataset generated will support future research projects within the Network University Medicine (NUM) and contribute to continuous medical innovation.
