EVA4MII Webinar
One step at a time in distributed or federated statistical analyses
Illustration using an example based on the MII core dataset
When analysing data from Data Integration Centres, it is often necessary to resort to distributed or federated analysis strategies, as the analyst does not have direct access to the data. Analysis scripts often have to be programmed without viewing the data – in other words, ‘blindly’. For this reason, the aim of this webinar is to discuss some practical aspects of programming analysis scripts within the context of distributed or federated analyses. This includes highlighting potential pitfalls and offering ideas on how to overcome them. Ultimately, we also wish to encourage reflection and discussion. With this presentation, we aim to provide you with the foundations for this.
If you have already gained experience in this area or are facing similar challenges and would like to share them with us, this would be very much in the spirit of this webinar. Perhaps we can also clarify or discuss one or two questions that you have encountered in this context whilst working on your projects.
