AKEK forum: “One Study – One Vote”
The “One Study – One Vote” procedure is now established nationwide. Virtually all ethics committees now meet the legal requirements for participation; the necessary amendments to professional codes of conduct have largely been finalised. In practice, however, questions continue to arise regarding the specific conduct of proceedings, the guidelines and special cases.
The Association of Medical Ethics Committees (AKEK) would like to give researchers and other academic applicants the opportunity to obtain detailed information on the procedure during a training session, to ask questions and to exchange practical experiences. The AKEK forum “One Study – One Vote” will take place online on Wednesday, 30 September 2026, from 10.00 to 12.00. To ensure that the discussion is as focused and practical as possible, the AKEK asks that any questions be submitted in advance to geschaeftsstelle@akek.de by 7 September 2026 at the latest.
Registration is via the registration form at: AKEK Forum ‘One Study – One Vote’ – AKEK – Association of Medical Ethics Committees. For technical reasons, the number of participants in the video conference is limited; prior registration is therefore requested. Should the number of registrations exceed the number of places available, the AKEK reserves the right to prioritise participation. Access details will be sent out in good time before the event begins, once registration has been confirmed.
