The website of the German Biobank Network (GBN) is now part of the central website of the Network University Medicine (NUM). This represents a further step in the organisational and communicative integration of the GBN into the NUM.
The contents of the GBN are now bundled as a separate presence within the NUM website and follow the common corporate design of the NUM. The familiar web address bbmri.de remains and leads directly to the new GBN website via a permanent redirect.
The integration follows on from several developments in recent months: The integration of the then German Biobank Node into the NUM was announced back in April 2025 and implemented organisationally on 1 July 2025. With the name change to the German Biobank Network, a logo adapted to the NUM design and the website refresh of the NUM in autumn 2025, central foundations were laid for a uniform external image.
The integration of the GBN website is part of the NUM-wide strategy of gradually transferring research infrastructures and projects to the central NUM website. All other Reseach Infrastructures will integrate their websites into the NUM website in the course of this year.
