The kick-off of the new NUM research project RAPID (NUM Registry of Adult and Pediatric Intensive Care Data) took place on 9 February 2026. The event was extremely successful and brought together over 100 participants from the participating sites. The objectives of the project and the process for connecting the participating sites were presented, focussing on both regulatory and technical aspects. Possible connection paths from the intensive information systems were also discussed.
The content-related implementation phase will now begin in spring, while the regulatory steps will follow in the summer. We wish you every success!
RAPID is a decentralised, federated register for routine intensive care data from adult and paediatric intensive care units in Germany. Data is collected automatically via digital interfaces directly from the intensive care information systems of the participating sites.
