Good news for NATON, the NUM platform for autopsies and pathology: following changes to the legal basis for data protection, the autopsy network has now received a favourable ethics vote from the Aachen Ethics Committee for its electronic backbone, the National Autopsy Registry (NAREG), at the beginning of September. In accordance with the principle of "one study, one vote", this vote will now also be brought to the attention of the other ethics committees. This means that all ethical and legal requirements have been met - and nothing stands in the way of the launch of NAREG!
