NUKLEUS Lighthouse - Keep an eye on your study

What is the NUKLEUS Lighthouse?

The NUKLEUS Lighthouse is a portal for monitoring the progress of clinical trials. It shows at a glance which study results have been achieved. These are presented as quality and performance indicators (QLIs) and as validated flat rates for (virtual/productive) billing.

The results can be called up both at centre level and at study level: Each centre only sees its own study performance. In addition, anonymous benchmarking enables comparison between the centres. The project management thus maintains an overview of the overall progress of the study at all times and can intervene quickly if necessary.

Who is responsible for the NUKLEUS Lighthouse?

The NUKLEUS Lighthouse is a software tool managed by the NUKLEUS Resource and Performance Analysis Unit (RPA).

Which projects are currently mapped in the NUKLEUS Lighthouse?

The Study Network Infectious Diseases (SNID) in the NUM Study Network (NUM SN) is already integrated in the NUKLEUS Lighthouse. There it is divided into three areas: the SNID basic cohort and the RAPID_REVIVE and SNAP studies, which have recruited or are currently recruiting patients using the SNID infrastructure. For the SNID, the NUKLEUS Lighthouse also displays the internally agreed performance evaluation, which includes all three study areas.

The integration of further studies and use cases (CanTEN, RAPID_ELAPSE, PENGUIN, PREVENT, sWITCH-VO, RACOON-PROSTAIT and RACOON-AI Brain Tumor) as well as the new intensive care (SN CritCare) and stroke (SN Stroke) specialist networks is planned.

Who can use the NUKLEUS Lighthouse?

The NUKLEUS Lighthouse is generally available to all users who are involved in NUM studies. All studies in which the NUKLEUS RPA is involved can be displayed.
