The first retreat of the NUM's specialist and organ-specific working groups (FOSA) took place on 4 November 2025. A total of 22 representatives from 14 different FOSAs met in the Rosensäle in Jena for an interdisciplinary dialogue.
The main topic was prevention research, with the topics of cardiovascular diseases, infectious diseases and nutritional medicine having been agreed in advance. Following a keynote speech by Prof Verena Vogt from the University of Jena, groups discussed infrastructure, data collection and specific project ideas.
