An important milestone: the preparatory meeting for the master protocol for ADAPT-LUNG has taken place and the funding approval notice has been received.

Experts met in Hamburg to work together on laying the foundations for ADAPT-LUNG. The focus was on developing the master protocol for Stratum 1 – a key step towards structured, multi-centre clinical trials on acute respiratory failure in critically ill patients.

We are particularly delighted that, at the same time, we received the official funding approval for ADAPT-LUNG. This is fantastic news that gives the whole team a real boost – and shows that the joint efforts of recent months are bearing fruit.

This moment would not have been possible without the exceptional commitment of everyone involved: clinicians, researchers, study coordinators and colleagues from the participating centres, who are bringing SN CritCare to life with their expertise and dedication. Together, we are building an infrastructure that will strengthen clinical research in intensive care medicine in the long term.

The lung module is one of five organ-specific modules within SN CritCare and focuses on ventilation strategies, ECMO and advanced therapeutic approaches for severe acute respiratory failure. With ADAPT-LUNG, we are now putting this research approach into practice.

We look forward to what lies ahead. 🚀
