Data protection concept
The German Biobank Network (GBN) develops and implements modular and interoperable IT components for biobanks. These components enable cross-site biobanking: in national and multi-centre research projects, biosamples and associated data can be quickly located and compiled in this way. The data protection concept shows how the requirements of data protection, data security, ethical and social concerns and the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) are met.
