The Central Biobank collects and stores high-quality tumour tissue and makes it available for research projects on the basis of strict guidelines. It is an important building block in the research concept of the Southwest German Tumour Centre - CCC Tübingen-Stuttgart and is under the technical direction of the Medical Director of the Department of General Pathology. An interdisciplinary scientific advisory board decides on the use of tissue.
In the future, the activities of the central biobank of the CCC Tübingen-Stuttgart will be taken over by the Core Facility Biobank, which is currently being set up. Further information can be found on the website.
